When it comes to blogging, my heart belongs to Wordpress. I have been using Blogger for the past months but honestly? It's not nearly as fun. Which is why I decided to move this blog.

WW Weigh-in #6

My sixth week of Weight Watchers went decently. After last week was a little dominated by chocolate, I did so well in the first five days of the week. I hardly used any of my weekly extra budget. But having weighed myself a couple of times during the week, I barely saw a difference on the scale. Monday I had a celebratory pizza for finishing my thesis and Tuesday I had a celebratory piece of chocolate truffle cake at Starbucks. So in the end I actually ended up using a few more points than I had (and using up all my weekly extra budget). Let me tell you, by Wednesday, I was just hoping I had not gained. Turns out I must have done something right by eating that pizza and piece of cake because ...

I lost 0.5kg (1.1kg)!

For the record, on Monday I was only down 0.2kg from the Wednesday before so between Monday and Wednesday I 'lost' 0.3kg, more than in the previous five days, and I had pizza and cake! Granted, I do know you cannot think of those daily ups and downs of genuine losses and gains but the trend was definitely not toward a loss for the entire first five days of the week. I am so so close to reaching a BMI of 28.xx, hope I can get there by next Wednesday!

When a gym win is a gym fail is a gym win

I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in about a month. The last time I went was before Christmas. Christmas I was away for a week, but I have been back in town almost three weeks, so you may be wondering what has taken me so long?

As I mentioned before on this blog, I was writing my thesis, a 80-page paper that makes up for a third of my degree grade. In the two-three weeks leading up to the deadline, while I did waste an incredible amount of time unwinding by watching TV shows on my laptop, I hardly ever left my desk. I just handed it in on Tuesday. Meaning? I have time to do fun stuff again. One of which is going to the gym.

So yesterday I went to the gym to go toTae Bo again. The instructor was sick so someone else substituted for her, and he did a good job, but I noticed that after a four-week absence from the gym, I have lost most of my endurance, and I was absolutely exhausted after just a half hour. Because I was feeling nauseous and kind of seeing black spots, I ended up leaving the class early.

So I am so happy I finally went back to the gym, not so happy that I didn't stay for the entire class but left halfway through, but you know what? 30 minutes of Tae Bo is the most I have worked out in a month so I think it is still pretty awesome! I cannot wait to get back into a workout routine.

How has your workout routine been going?
